My friend Chuck told us that he would give us a wall to paint in his apartment and we could paint anything that we wanted. Intially I wanted to paint pink and violent hearts just out of spite but decided on this. I made Chuck get up against the wall while holding his surf board and guitar while I traced the outline of his body. I got this idea from a picture of my cousin's wife's brother. He is standing facing the sunset holding a surfboard. I always thought that picture was cool and wanted to paint it. I couldn't get the sunset right so I stopped at this, which is cool in and of itself.
This South Africa Matt (there are 3 Matt's in Taitung). I really liked his and seeing it come together in the end.
This is Chuck's which actually turned out pretty awesome. It will be a fun room if he doesn't move, which he has been talking about lately. BOOOO!
