New obsession

Actually it's an old obsession revisited. I got a new pair of rollerblades for my birthday and Christmas and I have been going to the skate park nearly everyday these pass few weeks. After chicken pox I knew I needed to start exercising again, so made it a priority to go. It's been so much fun. It's such a prpgressive sport. I can now do stalls and and 180's into the half pipes, jump every corner and go up/down every ramp/ vert.
My friend, Charles, has been skating (skate boarding) with me too. These pictures are from his birthday. They were having sports day with all the elementary schools in Taitung county next to where the skate park is. A ton of aboriginal kids came to watch us. In Taiwan foriegners have celebrity status, especially when we do things, like skating that aren't common sports here. All the kids hung on Chuck's every word and were stoked that he let them play with his skateboard. Everytime I go there now without him they ask where he is.
