Chicken Pox

On Sunday hile I was hiking in Jherben I started to get really bad cramps in my stomach. I thought it was something I ate. After dinner that night I went home and was so exhausted that I fell asleep in my clothes. Woke up sore from head to toe. Literally my toes even hurt to move. I just thought it was a combination of Saturday's bike ride and Sunday's hike. Went to work feeling crappy. Started to get a headache around noon, so laid down that afternoon before my evening classes. Taught four straight and could hardly stand up by the end. Thinking, "Wow, I am out of shape, if I am this sore." Headache increased all day so by the time I got home I went straight to bed. I was freezing cold. Used to fleece blankets inside my sleeping bag and still felt cold. 1am got up to take Advil for the headache. 3am woke up sweating through all my clothes. Changed clothes went back to bed. Toss and turned the rest of the night.
Tuesday was fieldtrip to the DMV. Felt horrible and irritable. Head still pounding. Go straight home fall into bed. Still have to teach 4 hours in the evening. First class I ended up sitting down towards the end. My co-teacher seeing I was struggling finished teaching for me. Break time go to the bathroom and notice a blister on my neck. Strange. Must of been a spider bite and that's why I feel so bad. Still have two hours to go. Sat down the whole time and just let the students talk and do their workbooks. It's an effort to even sit up at this point.
Get home and notice more spots. Strange. Go to bed 9:00m. Can't sleep. Get up to look again at 10:30. Instead of 10 spots there are about 30! What is going on. Then it dawns on me. Chicken pox. I go the hospital and sure enough I've got Chicken pox at 29 years old. Didn't sleep much last night. Nervous about what was to come. Every web-site said it is much worse on adult. Can lead to death. Scary! Finally I found one site where I guy does a day by day journal. So helpful. And relieved so much of my fears. There are tons of poeople who have wrote about their experience and it's nice to know that your normal and the things you are going through are the same. This one day 2. They say day 4-6 is the worse. Oh joy. Today the sore throat, headache, achy body have been the worse. Last night I had about 30, now I closing in on 100. Luckily so far only a few on my face. Mostly on my head, sholders, chest and stomach. Pray for me if you are reading this. Tough days ahead.
