I bought a book called "Higher Ground" from the new bookstore in town. It is a collection of stories that were inspired by real live stories of children who survived the 2004 tsunami. We had an earthquake this last week early in the morning. The first thing I always think about is "tsunami" living so close to the ocean. The anniversary for the tsunami is coming up too, which we had a 6. something earthquake on it's anniversary in 2006.
The picture in this blog was drawn by me. I don't claim to be an artist so do laugh. But this is the imagine that I get reading these stories. They all say the wave was black and dirty. It aroused from the sea like a gale. Everybody just stood amazed. The tide went back and people ran to caught the fish and then gobbled up by the wave itself. I don't think I will ever forget this day and pray for those who suffer even this day because of the tsunami. It really makes me thankful for all I have.
