One more use for chapstick

Sorry Angela but I couldn't help myself... So today in my kindergarten class I am wrapping up "fun time" while my co-teacher is finishing up her communication books to the parents. I noticed an open stick of chapstick sitting on the table. In my head I am wondering why is it just sitting open on the table. (I mean that isn't something I would leave open since it's going on my lips and there are 3 year olds running around.) I am watching my kids out of one eye and my co-teacher out of the other eye. She has typed up messages that she is "pasteing" to the communication book. Only she is using the chapstick as glue! I am quite amused at this and can't help but ask why on earth would you use chapstick for glue? She looked at me like I was crazy; why wouldn't you? was the expression on her face. I told her it was for your lips, and she said, "really?" You see the wrapper was in English so she just assumed because it looked like a glue stick it was. But you know what? It worked! So you learn something new everyday. Next time you don't have glue when you need it, try chapstick!
