Ups and Downs

These past couple of weeks have been really hard on me. The day that I returned from Cambodia a was really excited about painting my new classroom for my second kidergarten class. I went to work and was getting ready to go prep the classroom when my boss asked to speak with me. To make a very long story short they were no longer able to offer me double kindergarten. Needless to say and was really upset. It was the first time since I have come to Taitung that I considered packing up my stuff and going "home". I had a really tough time dealing with it. I had looked forward to it for so long (a couple months or more). I dreamed about it and planned lessons. Made worksheets. Prayed for each of the kids. All in all it was really hard.
And on top of it I got food posioning and started throwing up. I ended up going to the hospital to get a shot. I felt better for a day and then came down with a cold. It hasn't been the best week of my life but I am learning to adjust. It is really hard to keep a good attitude 1. because I am disappointed and hurt and 2. because I am sick. I really didn't want to go to work this week but somehow I got through it. Everyday gets better. I am trying to see the good out of all of this but I think it will take some time.
Tomorrow I will leave to go on my first ministry retreat. We will fly to green island and work on a church there. We are planing a children's program and I am suppost to share my testimony in Chinese. It will be really good to get away from Taitung for a couple of days. The people on my team seem really nice and I will be able to practice Chinese. Actually it is funny, I feel more relaxed speaking Chinese than English (with Taiwanese) now. When we were in Cambodia I would here Chinese and feel the same thing and when I am in Taiwan and here English. Pretty cool huh.
Well pray for me if you have time. I could use a boost in moral and probally an attitude ajustment too.
