16 Km (10 Miles) Baby!!!!

I ran 16 km last Saturday. It pretty much kicked me in the ... bum. I am still sore 3 days later. Running is so addicting. I have heard other people say it and thought to myself "Yah, right". But starting back in August we started to train for a half marathon in November. I remember my first run was at the track and I ran/walk six laps which is a little over 2 km. I thought " Rebeccca, who are you kidding." But I am doing it. It has been one of the hardest things that I have done physically.
God has given me the strength to run each time. And I just keep thinking of my friends who are disabled and can't run. How much pain they go through everyday. I just think of that everytime my legs start hurting or I want to give up. It pushes me to keep going.
November 5 I am running 21 km. We missed the deadline to run the half marathon in Hualien so a bunch of us are going to run the same distance here in Taitung. I will keep you updated. I think this is the begining of something great in my life.
